About Me

Hello! I am Peter Sadler, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I am passionate about helping people build lasting bonds and meaningful lives. I am located in Marin County and practice virtually across California.

People often arrive at my practice wanting to communicate better with their partner or loved one. They describe being stuck in a cycle of blame, doing everything they can to avoid a fight, or feeling they question themselves and the relationship. They yearn for a strong, healthy and meaningful relationship, including with themselves.

My years of experience working with individuals, couples and families have revealed the power of emotion to repair and heal relationships. When we allow ourselves the space to feel our emotions, we can begin to unpack, make sense of and reshape it into a bonding opportunity. Together in therapy, I can help you navigate difficult emotions and move towards a more connected and vibrant life.

A graduate from the Wright Institute in Berkeley, CA, I’ve received advanced training in Emotionally Focused Therapy to hone my skills helping couples, individuals and families. When I am not helping my clients, I love spending time with my wife and two young daughters, especially out in nature.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) is a proven relationship therapy for individuals, couples, and families. By taking the principles of attachment science that reveal from cradle to grave we are wired to seek connection, EFT focuses on your emotional experience and learning to experience emotions as a source of valuable information along with an opportunity for deeper connection with others, and most importantly yourself.

Emotion is central to our experience of a secure relationship. Understanding, giving ourselves permission to feel, tolerate and clearly communicate our emotional needs builds security and connection.
